The Senior EDI Developer helps us connect our critical systems and automate business processes reliably. The person in this role will use their deep knowledge of health insurance, software development, and systems integration to help us serve our members. Processes you’ll help us automate and improve include enrollment, claims adjudication and payment, and prior authorization processing.

Responsibilities


  • Analyze and understand business requirements related to system integrations

  • Plan and design integration solutions between multiple systems and databases in the Curative IT environment

  • Develop integrations in a variety of formats including proprietary flat files, XML, JSON, HIPAA EDI X12 transactions, and REST APIs as required

  • Perform unit and integration testing of integrations

  • Create automation routines using RPA solutions, including appropriate monitoring and error handling

  • Review errors and issues reported by end users to troubleshoot, identify root cause, and implement corrections via bug fixes

  • Provide coaching and mentorship to junior developers

  • Work on tickets assigned using the JIRA ticketing system

  • 7+ years of development with Microsoft development technologies including C# and VB.Net, Microsoft SQL Server, SSRS, SSIS

  • 7+ years working with HIPAA EDI transactions (837, 835, 834, 278, 270/271, 276/277)

  • Knowledge of and experience with common EDI tools such as BizTalk, Informatica, Sterling, and/or Edifecs

  • Knowledge of and experience with healthcare claims systems is a strong plus (e.g., QNXT, HealthEdge, Facets, etc.)

  • Demonstrate experience working in Google Workspace, Microsoft Azure, and AWS environments

  • Power User - Google Sheets and Excel is desired

  • Experience with Robotic Processing Automation (RPA) tools, specifically Fortra Automate Plus (or similar tools such as UIPath, Automation 360, Kofax, etc.)


Projects you’ll work on


  • Automating incoming and outgoing data transfers between claims, enrollment, 

  • eligibility, and other systems

  • Migrating healthcare data to new systems to support our growth

  • Integrating our systems with external vendors and products to enable better member, provider, and employee experience
