The Staff Physician (MD/DO) will provide excellent, evidence-based and compassionate medical care to members of the Curative health plan. The Staff Physician’s primary responsibilities are to provide Baseline Visits to new Curative members and to supervise and collaborate with APPs who are providing Baseline Visits. Additional duties may be assigned based on medical group needs. 

Hiring is contingent on successful credentialing by the Curative Health Plan.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provide Curative Baseline Visits to health plan members

  • Supervise and collaborate with APRNs and Physician Assistants. 

  • Provide evidence-based medical advice for preventive health and primary care.

  • Develop treatment plans for preventive care. 

  • Contribute to the development and evolution of Curative clinical services and programs.

  • Mentor and manage team members as directed by the Medical Director.

  • Contribute to the development of a pleasant and positive workplace. 

  • Secure and maintain multiple state medical licenses as requested, at the practice’s expense

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Medical degree (MD/DO)

  • Completion of accredited residency in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine

  • Active and unencumbered Texas medical license. 

  • IMLC Letter of Qualification or Eligibility

  • Minimum 2 years primary care experience

  • Successful credentialing by the Curative Health Plan. 

  • Superior interpersonal communication skills

  • Servant-leadership mindset 

PREFERRED

  • Board certification in Family Medicine (FM) or Internal Medicine (IM)

  • Experience with both in-person and virtual primary care. 

  • Experience working with a collaborative team, including supervising APP’s

  • Medical licensure in multiple states

  • Experience in and comfort with a rapidly changing start-up environment.
