We are looking for an energetic Staff Accountant looking to obtain accelerated learning and
experience in a fast-paced, high growth environment. Our health insurance organization is seeking an entry level Staff Accountant. The successful applicant will work on accounts payable, accounts receivable and other general accounting and reconciliation tasks. A number of tasks requiring data analysis, in-depth evaluation, and exercising judgment within

The goal is to keep the accounts payable and financial processes of the company up to standard and ensure accurate financial reporting and control. 

This is a full-time on-site role. You will report to the Accounting Manager.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Handle accounts payable for multiple related entities and vendors, properly coding for
    accurate financial statements.
  • All facets of vendor relations from facilitating setup, entering invoices, managing vendor inquiries and communication.
  • Ensuring proper internal control and support, including supporting other company departments as it relates to payables.
  • Reconciling processed work by verifying entries and comparing system reports to balances
  • Recording of month end accruals, and other accounts payable related journal entries.
  • Maintaining historical records
  • Preparing analyses of accounts and producing monthly reports
  • Continuing to improve the accuracy and payment process.
  • Support improvements to financial processes and procedures.
  • Assisting with audits as needed
  • Handle workload in a timely and accurate manner
  • Special projects as required.
  • Additional responsibilities as required.

Qualifications/Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, economics, business administration or related field required (3.0 GPA or greater)
  • Prior experience with NetSuite ERP System is a plus.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Ability to and willingness to learn.
  • Efficient communication and ability to work in a team environment.
  • Proficient in MS Excel
  • Authorized to work in the US
