Job Responsibilities 

  • Performs general janitorial, cleaning and sanitation related tasks in a commercial office building, including common areas, tenant offices, clinic areas, breakrooms, and restrooms, and elevators.
  • Clean and supply designated building areas (including but not limited to dusting, sweeping, vacuuming, mopping, windows, restroom cleaning, etc.) 
  • Work closely with the maintenance staff 
  • Operate floor scrubbers and other janitorial equipment as needed 
  • Perform and document routine inspections of each floor including bathrooms and break rooms. 
  • Notify management of maintenance deficiencies or needs for repairs
  • Maintain all equipment and supplies in proper condition.
  • Stock and maintain cleaning and breakroom supplies 
  • Follow all health and safety regulations 
  • Use proper PPE where required 
  • Opens and locks facilities, enable and disable security system as required 
  • Carry out heavy cleaning tasks and special projects as assigned 
  • This position performs additional responsibilities as assigned


Qualifications/Skills: 

  • 2 years janitorial experience in a commercial office building. 
  • Experience in a medical setting is a plus. 
  • Familiarity with Material Safety Data Sheets. 
  • Excellent time management skills and ability to work independently. 
  • Knowledge of safe use of cleaning agents and equipment used to perform job duties. 
  • Knowledge of how to use floor scrubber and carpet extractor. 
  • High school degree or equivalent
