We have an immediate opening for an Accounting Associate in our Hopkinton, MA office. Reporting to the Finance Manager, this position obtains revenue and pays invoices by verifying and completing payable and receivable transactions.

Duties & Responsibilities:

•    Processes invoices for payment; prints and mails accounts payable checks.
•    Performs data entry and spreadsheet management.
•    Trips to the Post Office (twice/week) and Bank (infrequent).
•    Maintains accounts payable files and records.
•    Perform day to day financial transactions, including verifying, classifying, computing, posting, and recording accounts receivables’ data.
•    Collect and allocate customer payments.
•    Research and resolve payment discrepancies.
•    Process credit card payments.
•    Auditing and reviewing Expense Reports that are submitted through Concur ensuring validity and accuracy of expenses; completeness of receipts documentation; compliance with both Internal Policies and IRS guidelines.
•    Assists with related special projects as needed.
•    Performs other related duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications:

•    Two-year certificate from college or technical school, one-year to two years related experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
•    Demonstrated ability to calculate figures and amounts.
•    Proficiency in English with strong writing skills.
•    High degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
•    Strong customer service and organizational skills.
•    Commitment to excellence and high standards.
•    Ability to multitask.
•    Excellent communication skills for business-to-business correspondence.
•    Ability to understand and follow written and verbal instructions.
•    Versatility, flexibility, and a willingness to work within constantly changing priorities with enthusiasm.
•    Proficient in Microsoft Excel; Experience with Microsoft NAV is a plus.
