We have an immediate opening for a 2nd shift Material Handler. This position is primarily responsible for maintaining all equipment, packaging materials, documents and other necessary shipping and receiving items. This position is also responsible for documenting, packaging, loading/unloading, and routing within the facility materials as required by EFC’s quality system.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Ensures all shipping and receiving equipment is maintained, qualified and operational at all times.
- Drives fork truck (obtain license), moving cylinder pallets.
- Bar codings of cylinders incoming and outgoing.
- Continually improves safety awareness skills pertaining to the gas cylinder industry.
- Performs other related duties as assigned or needed.
QUALIFICATIONS / EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE:
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED), or one to three years related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Previous experience in the cylinder gas industry desirable.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT:
- Continually required to stand, walk, utilize hand and finger dexterity.
- Occasionally required to climb, balance, bend, stoop, kneel, crawl, sit, talk or hear.
- Continually work near moving mechanical parts.
- Frequently work around fumes, airborne particles, or toxic chemicals.
- Occasionally exposed to outside weather conditions.
- While performing the duties of this job, the noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
- The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 100 pounds.
