This is an exciting opportunity for a proven relationship-builder and a strategic-thinker and innovator, who is interested in personal connections and data. Caedmon is a special Montessori Early Childhood and Elementary independent school in New York City, and this role requires an understanding of and the ability to communicate about the school’s particular benefits.
You will manage school-wide fundraising initiatives, fundraising communication, and parent volunteers; you will facilitate the School’s Family Association and parent relations. You will take a leadership role in formulating and enacting the school’s strategic plans for development.
You will support the mission and values of the Caedmon School, and its faculty, staff, students, families, and programs, by creating an inclusive fundraising program. Your job will require occasional evening and weekend work.
You will work in concert with the Director of Enrollment and Family Commitment and with the CFOO manage alumni relations, and you will supervise the Director of Communications. You will report to the Head of School and will be a member of the Head’s Cabinet.
Duties:
Communicate Caedmon’s vision, mission, values to our community
Manage the School’s development program including Annual Giving, major gifts from individuals, research, data entry, gift processing and acknowledgments, and the continued stewardship of donor relationships
Set and meet agreed upon dollar goals for all aspects of development
Develop, organize, and monitor Annual Fund materials, including a brochure, philanthropy guide, and annual report
Work closely with the Caedmon Family Association in their community building and fundraising efforts
Organize current initiatives, such as text-a-thons, thank-you writing campaigns, an annual Giving Week, and a Match campaign. Innovate new fundraising initiatives
Maintain accurate fundraising data and provide accurate reporting to the CFOO and the Board on fundraising efforts
Support the Development Committee Chair of the Board of Trustees
Oversee and monitor progress on development and Development Committee goals
Plan and run Capital Campaigns as directed by the Head of School and Trustees
Identify, train, motivate, and manage all fundraising volunteers
Write website content and design about the Annual Fund
Plan and coordinate class parent receptions and new family breakfasts to enhance and develop community building
As a member of the Caedmon Cabinet/Administrative Team, you perform various other tasks and responsibilities as needed by your colleagues and as directed by the Head of School
Qualifications:
Bachelor of Arts Degree from an accredited college or university is required/Masters preferred
Fundraising and relationship building experience
Must be well organized, innovative, and have strong attention to detail and follow up skills
Effective communicator, ability to multitask, and flexibility is essential
Highly proficient in Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and other Microsoft applications. Familiarity with Senior Systems is helpful. Background check required

Salary Range:$100,000-$115,000
