An AC Wellness physician approaches the patient in a holistic fashion, with emphasis on preventing future disease but with a confident approach to acute and chronic existing disease. This role provides supervision for nurse practitioners delivering care to AC Wellness patients. 

This is a remote role. *You must reside and be licensed in the state of Georgia to be considered a candidate for the role.*

 

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS 

  • Assists in supervision and oversight of nurse practitioner team members for fulfilling various state collaborative practice agreements, under the direction of the Medical Director. 
  • Conduct meetings (in person or virtually) with each NP under their supervision to monitor quality of care per Georgia guidelines.
  • Be available for consultation on specific patient encounters as appropriate.
  • Focuses on quality of care and the patient experience including timeliness and effective documentation. 
  • Emphasize health promotion, disease prevention, early detection, and on-going health care supervision. 
  • Protect patients’ right to confidentiality to participate in decisions about his/her care. 
  • Comply with policies, procedures, and protocols of AC Wellness Medical Group. 


 

QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS 

  • Current DEA and Georgia license. 
  • 3 years Primary Care experience. 
  • Principal place of practice must be within Georgia.
  • Board Certified in a Primary Care specialty such as Emergency Medicine, Internal Medicine or 
Family Medicine. 
  • Current Certification in AHA or ARC Basic Life Support for health care providers is required. 
  • Must be EHR proficient.
  • Comfortable with change and willingness to work in a non-traditional practice model. 
  • Compliance with AC Wellness Occupational Health Policy, including required immunizations. 
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to work well within a team. 
  • Superior verbal and written communication skills. 
  • Personal and professional integrity of the highest order.
