SUMMARY

The Health Programs Registered Nurse works to create a frictionless experience for all patients at onsite flu clinics. This RN role is responsible for performing vaccinations and documenting interactions.
The PRN RN will need to have good, open availability, and willing and able to work last minute shift coverage (i.e. sick calls). The RN should be available for a 7.5 hour shift within a timeframe between 8am and 6:30pm. The Flu Clinics run from from September 11th through November 21st.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
- Demonstrates professionalism and courtesy when interacting with patients and co-workers.
- Maintains patient confidentiality.
- Adheres to policies and protocols of AC Wellness.
- Appropriately screen and vaccinate patients against influenza and Covid-19 in addition to completing the necessary documentation at flu clinics across various sites on the Apple Campuses, including but not limited to Santa Clara Valley.
- Is prepared to safely intervene in the event of an adverse reaction or other medical emergency.
- Continually works to achieve the highest level of patient satisfaction.
- Continually evaluates patient volume and provides intervention to optimize patient flow to minimize wait times.
- Anticipates potential problems/obstacles in daily operations, intervenes effectively and escalates to management, if indicated.
- Maintains the strictest confidentiality.
- Provides clinical oversight to unlicensed personnel, as appropriate.
NON-ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
- Provides input for improving operations and implementing efforts to improve the quality of care in a cost-effective manner.
QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS
- Current California RN license.
- Registered Nurse degree from accredited school.
- 3 years of clinical experience.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) for health care provider.
- Demonstrates comfort and enthusiasm for new methods of care delivery using technology.
- Models excellent communication and problem solving skills with all staff, patients, providers and others by using a positive team approach.
- Serves as a role model for professional behavior in the delivery of patient care.
- Compliance with AC Wellness Occupational Health Policy, including required immunizations.
- Must have access to a vehicle, a valid driver's license and comply with CA liability insurance.
- Ability to drive between different locations, at times multiple sites in one day.
