Summary

Using best practices in collective impact and place-based partnerships, facilitate the strategic direction of cross-sector, multi-agency coalition(s) that engage community partners, youth and their parents/caregivers. Skillfully convene collaborators to ensure programmatic outcomes and deliverables are achieved, and facilitate the development and implementation of new, community-wide innovative strategies. Lead collaborative community-wide and school-based efforts designed to promote systems changes that improve outcomes for children and youth, and their families. Hold network members accountable to deliver against clear and measurable goals.

 

HCI is currently hiring Network Impact Coordinators (up to three) to support initiatives related to: housing and education; youth suicide prevention and coalition building; postsecondary achievement and employment outcomes for young adults. 

 

Tasks

  • Establish rapport and nurture working relationships with community partners integral to the coalition’s work
    • Support the quality performance and engagement of grant-funded staff roles and community partners
    • Convene action teams and hold partners accountable to action commitments using Results Based Facilitation/Results Based Leadership
    • Guide discussion during meetings to identify goals and action steps that support systems-level improvements
    • Facilitate communication with partners and collaborators between meetings to sustain productive community partner engagement
    • Collaborate with program staff and community partners to carry out community-wide programs
  • Oversee data tracking and analysis with support from HCI’s data team
    • Engage community partners in data analysis and continuous process improvement to determine the effectiveness of programs and initiatives
  • Oversee grant work plans and budgets
    • Support staff and partners to implement work plans, and pivot and adjust services as needed
    • Research best practices and suggest and support implementation of improvements to programs and services
    • Oversee accurate financial record-keeping and reporting for program grants
  • Lead the planning and implementation of communications strategies, including outreach activities to improve community awareness of the coalition’s work
    • Coordinate marketing plans with HCI’s communications team, including production of publications, posters, news columns, social media posts and community presentations
  • Promote research-proven youth engagement work for specific grant-funded programs; support collaborative implementation of other community-wide youth-focused strategies in Rice County
  • Oversee countywide training; identify, promote, and support the implementation of evidence-based training for youth, parents/caregivers, teachers, first responders/law enforcement professionals, and/or youth development staff
    • Assist with the identification and promotion of evidence-based curricula and programs for use in Rice County
  • Attend periodic regional and national conferences and trainings

 

Required qualities

  • At least three years of related coalition leadership and project management experience
  • Ability to effectively facilitate public meetings using the Results Based Facilitation model (Results Based Facilitation training can be provided for skilled/experienced project managers not yet trained in this specific meeting facilitation model)
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and Google Suite
  • Excellent ability to multi-task and troubleshoot issues
  • Excellent math skills to accurately manage grant budgets
  • Highly professional verbal and written communication skills
  • Experience adapting style and methods of communication in order to effectively engage youth and community partners
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision and as a member of a team
  • Capable of completing work on time in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a positive attitude
  • Ability to work occasional late afternoon and evening hours
  • Valid Minnesota driver’s license and the ability to travel within Rice County
  • Willingness to maintain the standards, carry out the purpose, and adhere to the policies of the Healthy Community Initiative
  • Maintenance of a cell phone is an expectation of employment

 

Preferred qualities

  • Bilingual in English and Spanish or Somali
  • Familiarity with organizations in Rice County
  • Experience working in the housing sector and/or in the youth development field
