Hourly wage $22-$25, depending on qualifications

HCI seeks a positive, detail-oriented individual who is adept at using technology to join its operations team. Full- or part-time options available, depending on the selected candidate’s interest; position deliverables will be adjusted accordingly.

Tasks

  • Collaborate as part of the operations team to support implementation of projects and programs and promote teamwork.  
  • Complete human resources and financial tasks with integrity and a high degree of accuracy under the guidance of the operations director.
  • Review program expenditures and properly code expenses.
  • Procure resources and supplies; support inventory management.
  • Implement day-to-day operational processes to complete tasks on time and to a high degree of professionalism.
  • Collect, track, and report data; check source data to verify completeness and accuracy.
  • Support engagement of college interns and work study students.
  • Serve as a logistical expert - co-lead planning, set-up, and take-down for trainings, events, and meetings to create an authentic and engaging experience for attendees that supports HCI’s reputation of facilitating highly effective meetings, events, and trainings. 
  • Transport supplies, materials, and equipment among HCI work locations across Rice County.

Required qualities

  • Minimum 3 years related project coordination and/or operations experience (payroll, invoicing, human resources)
  • Excellent math skills and the ability to solve problems and troubleshoot issues
  • Demonstrated ability to use technology to complete tasks
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and respect for the privacy of employee records
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (particularly Excel) and Google Suite
  • Highly organized with superior attention to detail
  • Ability to multi-task and manage complicated workflows
  • Highly professional verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision and as a member of a team
  • Capable of completing work on time in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a positive attitude
  • Ability to work on-site in both Northfield and Faribault at various times, based on program needs
  • Maintenance of a cell phone is an expectation of employment
  • Must possess and maintain a valid Minnesota driver’s license and auto insurance and be able to travel throughout Rice County
  • Must be able to lift/move up to 25 pounds unassisted
  • Willingness to maintain the standards, carry out the purpose, and adhere to the policies of HCI

Preferred qualities

  • Bilingual in English and Spanish or Somali
  • Salesforce software experience
  • Familiarity with HCI and its programs
  • Knowledge of Rice County and the surrounding communities
