Magic Soup is seeking a motivated and talented Unreal Engineer to join our team. We are looking for an individual who not only possesses a broad and deep understanding of the Unreal Engine, but also has a proven track record of shipping successful games with the engine. They do not have to check every single box on the skill tree, but they are humble, curious, and eager to learn.
What we’re looking for:
- Unreal Engine Expertise:

- A strong understanding of the Unreal Engine, understanding its strengths and weaknesses, and how that impacts architectural decisions.
- Experience or curiosity in Unreal on mobile and the challenges of game scaling across non-mobile and mobile platforms
- Game Development Experience:

- Have a successful history of shipping at least one game on the Unreal platform.
- Experience with game system development as well as the creation of new systems within the engine.
- Multiplayer Game Experience:

- Possess a strong understanding of the complexities and challenges associated with building large-scale multiplayer games in Unreal Engine.
- Experience in optimizing and scaling multiplayer game systems.
- Game Complexity Experience:

- Has worked on a game that has shipped on multiple platforms
- Has worked on a game with hundreds or thousands of entities
