They do not have to check every single box on the skill tree, but they are humble, curious, and eager to learn. As part of a startup, Chefs must be adaptable, creative problem solvers. We are looking for a Character Concept Artist with a passion for creating characters to join our team as we embark on making a brand-new game. As a Character Concept Artist of this small team, you will report to the Art Director and help them realize the visual direction of our characters for this game.

Responsibilities:

• Work with the Art Director to define a visual style for characters through a wide array of concept art including character concepts, mood boards etc.
• Define an ownable visual style for a new IP that is approachable to a diverse audience.
• Create style guides and outsourcing briefs for external vendors we may be working with.
• Contribute to our collaborative environment where everyone can share their ideas on the design of the game.

Qualifications:

• 5+ years of experience as a Concept Artist.
• A comprehensive knowledge of composition, perspective, anatomy, lighting, and materials.
• Comfortable working in non-realistic art styles. Intermediate knowledge of graphic design.
