To achieve our vision, we are searching for proven leaders with a bachelor’s degree and at least ~3 years of teaching experience and ~2 years experience in successfully leading a school to extraordinary outcomes

The Principal role is an ideal opportunity for a dynamic and visionary leader to lead and grow a new school.  The Principal serves as the “CEO” of the school community having direct accountability for outcomes and leading a world-class school.   


Key responsibilities 

  • Managing Academic Director, Operations Director, Student Achievement Associate/Manager, and other school leaders against key academic, school culture, operational, and socio-emotional outcomes 

  • Managing and owning all school matters effectively and efficiently

  • Creating a culture of high expectations, candid feedback, and continuous improvement with a relentless, data-driven focus on student achievement, college and career readiness, operational efficiency, and self-improvement with consistent systems, policies, and practices

  • Holding leadership team accountable for student academic outcomes, rigorous and joyful curriculum and instruction, effective professional development, “customer” service, and a people-first culture

  • Building a world-class work environment to hire, retain, and develop exceptionally talented people with a positive team mentality

  • Clearly articulating organizational priorities, policies, and plans to achieve student, school, and organizational goals to diverse audiences with differing socio-economic, ethnic, and cultural backgrounds

  • Proactively driving innovation, trying new approaches, and tackling problems from many angles and with creative solutions

  • Collaborating with Network leaders to ensure that the school is consistently living the mission and executing the vision of a Zeta School

  • Maintaining a safe and positive school environment in which students and school team members thrive, develop, and grow

  • Fostering an environment of deep collaboration with families, caregivers, and community members by building strong relationships and engagement in the school experience

  • Identifying and spreading best practices and innovations that lead to great outcomes


Required Qualifications

  • Demonstrated passion for the mission, vision, and core values of Zeta Schools

  • Deep expertise in driving extraordinary academic outcomes 

  • Deep expertise in curriculum and how it connects to rigorous academic outcomes

  • Demonstrated capacity for problem-solving, ownership and a deep investment in student outcomes

  • Proven track record of leading, managing, and coaching teams to meet outcomes  

  • Culturally competent and self-reflective with demonstrated experience working with diverse populations

  • Expertise in building a positive and collaborative adult culture

  • Excellent writing, communications, and relationship-building skills

  • Strong strategic thinking, analytical, and creative problem-solving skills

  • Strong leadership and management skills, including the ability to develop top talent

  • Project management experience that drives efficiency and excellence in all aspects of work

  • Ability to work seamlessly between high-level strategy and detail-oriented work

  • Passion for driving innovation, disrupting the status quo, trying new approaches, and tackling problems from many angles and with creative solutions

  • Demonstrated ability to manage and navigate challenging student, family, staff situations with empath,  efficiency, and humility
