Leadership Coaching and Development
Throughout the school year, the Resident Principal will receive regular professional coaching and development and work to develop their skills alongside their Managing Director/Principal with an opportunity to lead our Zeta Schools as a Principal as we continue to scale.
Implementing and managing rigorous curriculum, instruction, and assessments at his/her Zeta School
Building relationships with parents, students, teachers to drive school culture and student achievement
Managing and implementing structures for special education, academic intervention, and supplemental instruction at the school level that effectively support students
Partnering the Managing Director of Academics to implement a scope and sequence of professional development and training for all instructional team members
Analyzing data and using results to drive instruction, curriculum development, and training
Implementing observation and feedback cycles to continually improve instructional practice and drive performance management
Proactively driving innovation, identifying gaps, trying new approaches, and tackling problems from many angles and with creative solutions
Setting the long-term vision for the educational experience and customer service-driven, people-first culture at Zeta Schools
Holding yourself and your team accountable for student academic outcomes, rigorous curriculum and instruction, effective professional development, customer service, and a people-first culture
Building a world-class work environment to hire, retain, and develop exceptionally talented people with a positive team mentalityIdentifying and spreading best practices and innovations that lead to great outcomes
Owning school culture data and utilizing Zeta’s vision of WOW in Family Service to ensure that students are at school on time every day
Fostering an environment of deep collaboration with families, caregivers, and community members by building strong relationships and engagement in the school experience
Demonstrated passion for the mission, vision, and core values of Zeta Schools
Demonstrated capacity for problem-solving, ownership and a deep investment in student outcomes
Proven track record of leading, managing, and coaching teams to meet outcomes
Excellent writing, communications, and relationship-building skills
Strong strategic thinking, analytical, and creative problem-solving skills
Strong leadership and management skills, including the ability to hire and develop top talent
Project management experience that drives efficiency and excellence in all aspects of work
Ability to work seamlessly between high-level strategy and detail-oriented work
Strong systems-thinking skills to create and maintain academic programs within the school
Passion for driving innovation, disrupting the status quo, trying new approaches, and tackling problems from many angles and with creative solutions
Demonstrated ability to manage and navigate challenging student, family, staff situations with empath, efficiency, and humility
Currently, Zeta operates two schools, one in upper Manhattan and one in the South Bronx. We have big growth plans because the educational crisis is massive and requires big solutions.
