Zeta Charter Schools is seeking Chess Coaches for its chess program at its 2 locations, Zeta Inwood 1 Elementary (652 West 187th Street, New York, NY 10033) and Zeta Bronx 1 Elementary (222 Alexander Avenue, Bronx, NY 10454).
As a Chess Coach, you will coach students in private chess classes (with 1-4 students in each class) on a part-time basis. You will be responsible for:
Instilling a love for chess in your students
Planning, preparing, and delivering excellent private chess instruction to two students per class
Working with Zeta’s head Chess Teacher to support a world-class chess program
Providing high-quality chess competition opportunities for your students
Developing strong relationships with parents and students to create investment in chess practice
Holding yourself accountable for excellent student outcomes in chess
Assessing, recording, and reporting on student progress, achievement, and behavior

Experience working with children and implementing chess instruction with a proven record of propelling student growth and achievement
