As an Operations Director, you will lead all operational systems for an entire school community. You will have the opportunity to own and lead high level projects while also getting your hands dirty with the day-to-day operational work that will allow your school to run seamlessly. You are a leader, a strong communicator, extremely organized and an individual who can fluctuate seamlessly between many different ongoing projects and tasks on a daily basis.
Lead and manage 2-3 person Operations team against key operational outcomes
Create a culture of high expectations, candid feedback, and continuous improvement with a relentless focus on operational brilliance across the school
Ensure school facility is ready for August 2020 launch, including:
Finalizing all vendor agreements (food service aide, janitorial services, etc.)
Managing building renovation process to completion
Leading procurement of all technology, furniture and curriculum
Develop systems for ensuring a world-class facility, meeting Zeta’s very high facilities expectations across the entire building (interior and exterior)
Build, maintain, and strengthen relationships with families, colleagues, school vendors and our neighboring communities to ensure student success and a strong Zeta culture
Maintain a safe school environment in which students and school team members thrive, develop, and grow; ensure compliance and excellence in all school safety protocols
Proactively create and disseminate Zeta school communications, employing a people-first, customer service mindset
Engage in short-term and long-term thinking on best operational systems, using data to shape every aspect of our school systems
Require the Operations team to maintain fidelity to Zeta’s financial expectations, Department of Education expectations, and any alternative compliance expectations across the school
Demonstrated passion for the mission, vision, and core values of Zeta Schools
Deep expertise in operational effectiveness and management
Proven track record of leading, managing, and coaching teams to meet outcomes
Extremely organized and detail-oriented
Excellent writing, communications, and relationship-building skills
Strong strategic thinking, analytical, and creative problem-solving skills
Strong project management experience that drives efficiency and excellence in all aspects of work
Ability to work seamlessly between high-level strategy and detail-oriented work
Passion for driving innovation, trying new approaches, and tackling problems from many angles and with creative solutions
Strong systems thinking skills to create scalable systems across the school
Culturally competent and self-reflective with demonstrated experience working with diverse populations
Commitment to growth and constant improvement - open to ours will be an environment of regular but respectful feedback to become excellent at what you do
Wear any hat necessary for a successful launch and organization; no task too big or small - we will be a small but mighty team
Bachelor’s degree required
Compensation is commensurate with experience. Zeta offers a competitive compensation package.
Zeta is seeking candidates who can start in Winter 2020 to begin preparing for a school opening in August 2020.
