Leadership at Zeta
At Zeta, our leadership team is a critical component of our school design. Reporting to the Principal and/or Managing Director of School, our school-based Resident Principal will have direct accountability for the academic performance of his/her Zeta School. With deep expertise in teaching and learning, curriculum development, and training, our Resident Principal helps to set the vision for academic excellence at his/her Zeta School in alignment with the network of Zeta Schools.
Throughout the school year, Resident Principal will receive regular professional coaching and development and work to develop their skills alongside their Managing Director/Principal with an opportunity to lead our Zeta Schools as a Principal as we continue to scale.
As a Resident Principal, you will be responsible for:
Implementing and managing rigorous curriculum, instruction, and assessments at his/her Zeta School
Building relationships with parents, students, teachers to drive school culture and student achievement
Managing and implementing structures for special education, academic intervention, and supplemental instruction at the school level that effectively support our students
Partnering the Managing Director of Academics to implement a scope and sequence of professional development and training for all instructional team members
Analyzing data and using results to drive instruction, curriculum development, and training
Implementing observation and feedback cycles to continually improve instructional practice and drive performance management
Proactively driving innovation, identifying gaps, trying new approaches, and tackling problems from many angles and with creative solutions
Setting the long-term vision for the educational experience and customer service-driven, people-first culture at Zeta Schools
Holding yourself and your team accountable for student academic outcomes, rigorous curriculum and instruction, effective professional development, customer service, and a people-first culture
Building a world-class work environment to hire, retain, and develop exceptionally talented people with a positive team mentality
Identifying and spreading best practices and innovations that lead to great outcomes
Owning school culture data and utilizing our vision of WOW in Family Service to ensure that students are at school on time every day.
We are looking for ambitious Resident Principals with a Bachelor’s degree and minimum of 4-6 years of expertise in teaching and leading. Our Resident Principals should also demonstrate the following core skills as a member of our leader team:
Demonstrated passion for the mission, vision, and core values of Zeta Charter Schools
High levels of ownership and accountability for academic outcomes and student progress
Excellent writing, communications, and relationship-building skills
Strong strategic thinking, analytical, and creative problem-solving skills
Strong leadership and management skills, including the ability to hire and develop top talent
Strong project management experience that drives efficiency and excellence in all aspects of work
Ability to work seamlessly between high-level strategy and detail-oriented work
Strong systems-thinking skills to create and maintain academic programs within the school
Passion for driving innovation, disrupting the status quo, trying new approaches, and tackling problems from many angles and with creative solutions
Zeta Charter Schools is seeking candidates who can start on July 15, 2019. Compensation is commensurate with experience. Zeta Charter Schools offers a competitive compensation package.
