As a SETSS Teacher, you will be responsible for creating differentiated, scaffolded, and engaging lessons based on students’ individualized education plans. The SETSS Teacher will work with students in small-groups, and will be expected to provide appropriate support to enable students who need additional help to experience academic success and meet our academic benchmarks.
As a SETSS Teacher, you will be responsible for:
Provide individual or small-group instruction to students who require additional academic support
Collaborate with classroom teachers to provide targeted push-in and pull-out academic support
Building a classroom culture in which students love learning
Planning, preparing, and delivering excellent instruction to all students in the class according to their educational needs
Teaching students through an inquiry-based, rigorous curriculum that inspires intellectual curiosity and enables all students to thrive
Developing strong relationships with parents and students to create investment in school culture and academics
Driving academic outcomes by analyzing data, studying student work, and implementing high-leverage instructional moves to ensure dramatic gains for all students
Bringing a passion for innovation and optimizing technology in the classroom
Assessing, recording, and reporting on student progress, achievement, and behavior
We are looking for talented SETSS Teachers with a Bachelor’s degree and at least 1-2 years+ of lead teaching experience, within a Special Education setting, with a proven record of propelling student growth and achievement. Additionally, we are looking for the following characteristics:
