We are looking for an experienced and successful school psychologist with a passion for working with students and supporting their social and emotional wellbeing.  As a school psychologist, you will work closely with school leaders to ensure students are socially, emotionally, and behaviorally supported so as to allow students to achieve academic success.  


As a School Psychologist you will be responsible for:


  • Working with the entire school community to foster mindfulness and sustain a socially and emotionally safe environment

  • Providing effective counseling to school-aged students, supporting students in achieving academic success

  • Developing strong relationships with parents and students to create investment in school culture and academics

  • Participating in Response to Intervention meetings to assist in determining which students require academic and/or social/emotional intervention, and what interventions would be appropriate to provide

  • Conducting psycho-educational assessments to evaluate students who may qualify for special education, or who require re-evaluation

  • Conducting functional behavioral assessments, developing behavior intervention plans, and monitoring progress for students in need of greater support with behavior management

  • Supporting students and families in times of crisis  


We are looking for ambitious School Psychologist with a Bachelor’s degree and a proven record of propelling student growth and achievement. Additionally, we are looking for the following characteristics:

  • Candidates with NY State School Psychologist certification preferred but not required

  • Culturally competent and self-reflective with demonstrated experience working with diverse student populations

  • High moral character

  • Flexible and open to feedback

  • Demonstrating grit and perseverance

  • Interested in working in a collaborative environment

  • Passion for learning, driving innovation, disrupting the status quo, trying new approaches, and tackling problems from many angles and with creative solutions

  • Fluency in Spanish preferred
