POSITION TITLE:  TRUST ASSOCIATE

A successful person in this role will partner with the LTC team in many aspects of the day-to-day business. LTC offers an environment with constantly evolving priorities and developing responsibilities. The successful candidate will find such an environment exciting and engaging. A necessary skill of the person in this role is sharp focus and great attention to detail to comply with all policies, procedures, and accounting practices, along with the ability to adapt to a dynamic environment. The successful individual will have the ability to work well within a small office where no job is too big or small and will greet every hurdle as a positive opportunity to learn. This role reports directly to the President.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES OVERVIEW:

  • Partner with Trust Officers on trust administration, including effectively managing multiple responsibilities with good judgment, preparing correspondence, and follow up.
  • Batch transactions for completion and accuracy; annual account review preparation.
  • Process daily functions including, daily transactions and cash balances reviews, asset transfers, overdraft monitoring.
  • Coordinate tax-related payment information with the Trust Operations Department and ensure timely accurate tax payments for client accounts.
  • Coordinate investment transactions with the external investment advisors including but not limited to monitoring cash projections for all cash needs.
  • Prepare committee materials, including pre-acceptance and distribution forms.
  • Execute the opening and closing of accounts, including aggregation of required documentation.
  • Investment document preparation (e.g., subscription agreements).
  • Update the trust accounting system and account files to ensure accuracy of account information, tax reporting and statements.
  • Partner with the team to establish and implement critical operational processes.
  • Effectively manage multiple ongoing projects and successfully prioritize multiple tasks with good judgment and follow up with the President.

YOU ARE A GREAT FIT IF YOU:

  • Have a Bachelor’s degree and a minimum 3-years’ experience in a client services role.
  • Possess a strong working knowledge of trust administration and trust accounting.
  • Have excellent organization skills and a strong ability to balance multiple time-sensitive priorities while maintaining a high level of attention to detail.
  • Have a strong work ethic and thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-motivated environment.

OTHER REQUIREMENTS:

  • This position will require the individual to authorize a personal background check with the Nevada Financial Institutions Division.
  • This job requires the employee to sit for approximately 6-7 hours a day and use a keyboard and mouse for repetitive motion. There will be >15 lbs. to lift, push, or pull in this job.
