Job Title: 

ONAP Lead Software Engineer



Lumina Networks is looking for software engineers for development, test and delivery of our network management, orchestration, and SDN controller software products. You will contribute to the development of products which manage networks at some of the largest service providers and enterprises across the world.


Responsibilities

  • Develop quality software for our SDN Platform & Applications

  • Integrate Lumina SDN Controller with ONAP

  • Ability to learn and work on various ONAP modules

  • Analyze, Debug and maintain existing software components

  • Design highly scalable, testable code


This role demands a strong and broad software engineering background, good understanding of networking, distributed systems, network orchestration and control systems and the deployment environment in which they are used. Your role will cover all aspects of design and development, including writing architecture and functional specifications, forming test plans, developing code and automated tests and supporting customers for the features you build.


Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in Computer Science or a related field with a minimum of 8 years of experience in relevant technologies

  • Development experience with Java/Python, Robot Framework, Jenkins

  • Experience with OpenDaylight or other SDN platforms (ONOS, Contrail, etc.)

  • Experience with Linux Foundation products like ONAP, OPNFV for carrier grade use

  • Experience in one or more ONAP focus areas like Service Orchestrator, Multi-Cloud, Kubernetes (K8) based orchestration, APP-C, Modeling for multiple associations involving services, VNFs and VNFC, AI/ML based Service Assurance, Closed Loop Automation, Containerized Virtual Functions (CNFs) onboarding and instantiation

  • Experience in developing large-scale distributed systems based on Microservices

  • Experience in contribution to Opensource


Architecture

  • Understanding of Direct Graph concepts and tools

  • Understanding of OpenFlow, NETCONF /YANG, OVS, PCEP

  • Working knowledge of Linux Development and Debugging tools

  • Familiarity with networking protocols (BGP, MPLS, VXLAN)

  • Strong problem solving and software troubleshooting skills

  • Understanding of Telco deployments

  • Understanding of ETSI NFV components
