Strategic Account Director - Melbourne/Sydney - Australia

Job Description

We are looking to hire  a strategic account director who will collaboratively work with the pre-sales and post sales NetDev Services Engineers in building and maintaining relationships with key clients. This exciting opportunity would require experience handling complex sales and software sales negotiations. The ideal candidate must have the ability to build strategic account sales plan that will meet or exceed assigned quota. This person must have a complete understanding of client needs and be able to identify new opportunities to increase sales.


Sales cycle often includes product demonstrations and evaluations. Applicants preferred who are familiar with Sales Force, Customer Centric Selling or other structured selling process.

Job Duties:

Preferred technology and software sales experience in selling to tier 1 and 2 telecommunications companies, or similar industry.   Ability to lead sales with professional services and subscription licences based on open source software.


Domain experience with networking, mobility, cloud or data center knowledge beneficial.  SDN / NFV, IT DevOps, Virtualization solutions sales experience beneficial.

  • Build  effective territory plan to manage current accounts, identify top prospects, engage direct or partner/resellers.

  • Meet  sales targets against measured quota on annual basis

  • Be able to qualify prospects and opportunities

  • Ability to write professional prospecting/sourcing emails/letters

  • Research company information for sales opportunities

  • Professional phone communication skills

  • Deliver sales in person presentations as well as remote presentations

  • Account Management to ensure customer satisfaction and identify future revenue opportunities

  • Experience selling to tier one Telcos with active relationships within at least one of Telstra, Optus, Vocus, Vodafone, NBN, Spark, Chorus, Etc.,

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Communication/Journalism/Marketing and other related courses

  • 7 to 10 years of strategic sales and account management in a sales related environment

  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal

  • Experienced in sales and product presentation

  • Sourcing and prospecting experience

  • Highly skilled in account management

  • Ability to manage multiple sales campaigns

  • Proven track record of sales success

  • Proficient in MS Office Suites, PC or Mac

  • Experience using social media; Linkedin/Tweeter/Facebook


Preferred Skills:


  • Salesforce.com experience/Pardot is a plus

  • DiscoverOrg knowledge
