About the Role:

We seek a Research Coordinator to support the Foundation’s Patient Powered Research Network (PPRN). 

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Support implementation of PPRN registry recruitment strategy in partnership with PPRN Program lead.
  • Manages requests and review of PPRN project proposals.        
  • Responsible for managing PPRN registry mailbox and answering participant and potential participants questions. 
  • Assists Research team in administrative duties such as coordinating teleconferences/meetings, creating surveys, writing minutes, etc.
  • Manages, tracks and orders COPD PPRN supplies/materials for recruitment partners such as support groups, clinics and hospital systems.
  • Assists the COPD PPRN program lead with COPD PPRN Governing Board activities including, but not limited to meetings, gathering feedback from patient representatives and communications.
  • Coordinate PPRN sub-project activities (recruitment for external clinical trials, focus groups and surveys).
  • Support the database developer on workflows.
  • Assists the COPD PPRN program lead with materials for IRB submissions. 



Fundamentals for Success:

  • At least three years’ experience in clinical research program operations and support.
  • Ability to read, write and speak in English; Spanish (or other languages) helpful.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents.
  • Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community.
  • Ability to write speeches and articles for publication that conform to prescribed style and format.
  • Ability to effectively present information to top management, public groups, and/or boards of directors.
  • Computer skills:  Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint); miscellaneous data base software, Donor Works preferred, Internet. 
  • Must be accurate, thorough, dependable, organized and support other areas of organization; strategically minded and able to handle multifaceted duties. 
  • Works well independently as well as cooperatively
