About RepSpark

RepSpark is the leading B2B wholesale eCommerce and sales enablement platform built for modern apparel, footwear, and lifestyle brands. We connect 250+ brands and tens of thousands of retailers through digital catalogs, line sheets, order management, and brand microsites, helping brands grow faster, sell smarter, and strengthen retail relationships. We are in the middle of the most ambitious product work in the company's history: a ground-up rebuild of the buying experience, called Flow, that a major enterprise brand is already live on.

The role

You will be our first dedicated designer. Until now, design has been a shared responsibility across product and engineering. That has gotten us far, but the ambition of what we are building now exceeds what design-on-the-side can deliver. We are hiring someone whose craft raises the ceiling. You will report to the Head of Product and partner with him daily. You will own product design end to end: research, interaction design, visual design, and the systems that make design scale. In the first year this is overwhelmingly hands-on IC work. Over time, as the design function proves its value, you will shape and grow it. If you need a team around you on day one, this is not the right role. If you want to build the thing that a future team inherits, it is.

What you will do

Design the product. Flow is the center of gravity: a wholesale buying experience covering product discovery, multi-order carts, complex sizing and inventory, checkout, and post-order workflows. The design challenge here is not visual polish. It is making genuinely complicated things legible: a buyer managing eighteen orders across ship-to locations and delivery windows, a size matrix that behaves differently per product, availability that shifts underneath the cart. Beyond Flow, there is an admin platform, a discounting module, product configurators for enterprise deals, and an integration layer, all in active development. You will design across all of it.

Design the platform, not one solution. RepSpark serves 250+ brands, and every surface you design has to work across all of them. Brands configure their own filters, order types, product fields, and buying rules; their catalogs, sizing models, and workflows differ in ways that break single-purpose designs. You are not designing one checkout. You are designing the possibility space a checkout can occupy, where brand-level configuration is a first-class design surface and every decision is evaluated against use cases you have not seen yet. If extensible systems are the part of design you find most interesting, this is the job.

Own research. Our users are retail buyers, sales reps, and brand operations teams. They are underserved by design and highly opinionated about their workflows. You will build our research practice from scratch: talking to buyers and reps directly, turning what you learn into design decisions, and making the rest of the company smarter about our users.

Build the system. We ship on React 18 with Chakra UI, React Aria, and Panda CSS, using Shopify Polaris as a density and pattern reference. There is no Figma kit today. You will create the design system, tokens, and component documentation that let a small team ship consistent, high-quality UI fast.

Raise the bar. You will set the standard for what good looks like here, in the product and in how design work gets done: critique, specs, handoff, and collaboration with engineering.

What we are looking for

• You have designed for extreme data density and complex domain models: multi-entity workflows, matrix inputs, conditional logic, states that depend on upstream systems. Making that complexity navigable is your core strength

• You have designed multi-tenant or highly configurable products, where the deliverable is a system of behavior rather than a single solution. You can walk us through a real decision about what you made configurable and where you held an opinion on behalf of every tenant

• 6+ years of product design experience, with at least some of it as the sole or lead designer on a complex product

• A portfolio showing dense, workflow-heavy B2B or enterprise software. Wholesale, commerce, ERP-adjacent, or logistics experience is a strong plus. A portfolio of marketing sites and mobile consumer apps, however polished, is not a fit

• Demonstrated research skills: you have run discovery yourself, not just consumed someone else's findings

• Systems fluency: you have built or substantially owned a design system, and you understand how design tokens and component libraries work in code

• Comfort working directly with engineers in a design-in-code environment. You do not need to write production code, but you need to speak the language

• The judgment to work autonomously in ambiguity and the humility to design for users whose workflows you do not yet understand
