Venture For America is looking for a Senior Manager of Learning Programs who will be focused on designing, implementing, and evaluating a wide range of programs that serve the VFA Fellow and Alumni communities.

About the Role
The Senior Manager of Learning Programs will have an exciting opportunity to manage and create programming that adds value to the Fellowship journey and keeps Alumni of Venture For America connected and engaged with our mission. This role will report to the VP of Programs and will collaborate with them on existing program strategy and improvements and manage the Programs Associate.
At a high-level, the Senior Manager of Learning Programs will be responsible for (1) Designing Fellow and Alumni programming, (2) Managing VFA provided resources, platforms, and content for Fellows and Alumni (3) Fellow and Alumni Communications.
What you’ll do:
Programming (65%)
Manage the curriculum design for all Fellow and Alumni programming including VFA’s accelerator, validation challenges, training camp, redux, city retreats, welcome weekends, and fellow leader onboarding
Develop and maintain program design resources for local in-city programming led by Community Directors and/or local City Leadership Councils
Develop strategic partnerships with subject matter experts, external entrepreneurship program managers, and relevant resources to support Fellow and Alumni development
Source, recommend and manage learning vendor relationships and contracts
Provide guidance and recommendations on learning technology platforms functionality and governance
Design and develop programs that adhere to VFA’s Fellow and Alumni competency framework
Lead national Fellow and Alumni-led programming including Fellow Affinity Groups (VFA Rise), Fellow leadership opportunities, and the VFA Alumni Board
Support Training Camp and Redux (15%)
Training Camp is a four-week startup bootcamp that prepares Fellows to work at high-growth companies and fosters meaningful connections among the incoming class.
Support the design of the Training Camp structure and curriculum to drive positive outcomes and learner retention
Support Venture For America Training Camp as a full-time Training Camp team member. You will be expected to work and support Training Camp starting the last week of June - the first week of August.
Leadership (10%)
Manage an associate direct report and oversee:
the management of various learning systems such as Qooper for VFA’s mentorship program and the learning management system
the execution of Fellow and Alumni surveys analysis and reporting
the maintenance of Fellow facing resources such as the fellow facing google site
Participate in organizational leadership priorities, such as quarterly OKRs and annual development plans as is expected of all team members to
Recruitment & Selection (10%) In addition to the responsibilities unique to described above, all VFA team members devote a portion of their time to Fellow recruitment and selection, which occurs on an ongoing basis between August and March.
Participate in local recruitment events
Evaluate written fellowship applications
Conduct candidate interviews

You:
Are located in a Venture For America city (see our cities here).
Have 3-4 years of experience managing and executing large, national programs preferably at a non-profit or startup.
Have instructional or curriculum design experience and are familiar with design methodologies and learning theory
Are entrepreneurially minded and naturally optimistic.
See a need for a more equitable and inclusive path towards entrepreneurship, and have a strong desire to play a part in changing the status quo
Are highly detail-oriented and a master of breaking larger projects into smaller chunks and tasks
Have strong project management skills and are able to get multiple, diverse stakeholders to work with you
Are familiar with Salesforce, Google Sites, various LMS platforms, Slack, Qooper, Sift (these are nice to haves)
