The role:
Venture For America is currently seeking a Company Partnerships Contractor to join our Company Partnerships team from March 2021 to September 2021, the VFA Match process. The Match process is our spring-summer hiring season through which our incoming class of ~200 Fellows and our extensive network of participating Company Partners interview and find job placements. In this role, you’ll provide integral support to our team as we recruit and onboard companies to the hiring process.
What you’ll do:
You will support the Venture For America team in the work of recruiting and supporting companies to hire VFA Fellows in its 13 cities, onboard them to the Match platform, and work with Fellows and companies to meet our placement goals in each city. Activities will include:
Data entry and maintenance: Engage with VFA’s CRM platform (Salesforce) on behalf of Community Directors to create and update records (Accounts, Contacts, and Match Engagements)
Company Partner onboarding/processing: Steward conversations with companies from Community Directors to the Match platform (send hiring agreements, create logins, reset passwords, and demo-ing the platform, and respond to technical challenges)
Company Partner role drafting support: Company Partner job description crafting support on an as needed basis.
Support Fellow placement confirmation: Support VFA team with tracking offer letters from 2021 Fellows and import those files into Salesforce, follow up with Fellows who are placed but have not submitted offer letters.
Other potential duties:
During the term of your contract, VFA’s top priority is onboarding and Match for the class of 2021. As a result, you may be asked to work on related tasks that are not specific to the above specified terms, such as but not limited to:
Administrative tasks related to Fellow onboarding
Administrative tasks related to virtual VFA Job Fairs
Company Partner communications (such as helping create and manage mass mail merges)

Are adaptable in a fast-paced nonprofit, comfortable with ambiguity, and take initiative to solve problems before being asked
Comfortable working with Salesforce, excel, and interacting with data
Demonstrate next-level communication skills in person, writing, and virtually
Love building relationships with others to achieve mutually beneficial results
Have a passion for diversity, equity, and inclusion
Are exceptionally organized and don’t miss details and can multitask without dropping anything
