Are you someone who is always thinking about how something can be improved? Are processes and attention-to-detail your bread and butter? Are you the organizer and project manager in all settings? We are searching for a detail oriented, process focused, and exceptionally organized individual who can support our national and regional fundraising efforts organizationally.
In this role you will work closely with our VP of Development, VP of Community Partnerships, our Director of Finance and our Senior Manager of Development & Communications, to maintain seamless tracking and operation across our fundraising efforts, particularly our grants. You will be critical to the success of our fundraising team.
What you’ll do:
Donation Processing
Process all gifts and maintain the accuracy of our CRM database, Salesforce
Become an expert in our donation processing processes and Salesforce database and support in the development of new processes
Analyze the effectiveness of our various fundraising initiatives
Establish and monitor procedures for the record keeping of the Development team
Grants Management
Act as the Project Manager and key point of contact for all of our grant cycles improving the accuracy, timeliness and historical knowledge related to our grants management process
Become an expert in our grant management processes and support in the development of new processes
Act as an organizational-wide source knowledge for all grant parameters and next steps ensuring accurate cash flow projections, satisfied grant obligations and happy donors
Fundraising Administration
Act as the Project Manager for Salesforce development work with our data contractors and the Development team to continuously improve how we capture and report on data
Act as a critical supporter of our portfolio managers with a heavy focus on data and Salesforce projects
Support on all fundraising initiatives and projects on the national and regional level
There’s a lot to get done, and a lot of opportunities to grow within the role and organization. VFA promotes from within -- past Development Associates at VFA have grown on our development team while others have moved into roles in communications, operations and data.
What you might have already done:
0-2 years of work experience
Worked as a grant manager, fundraising admin or an otherwise detail-heavy role
Had experience administering Salesforce or another CRM database
Bonus points if you are an excellent writer, as there will be opportunities to craft a range of content!
