Are you a nonprofit marketing & communications pro with a passion for entrepreneurship? Does crafting a message, targeting an audience and driving conversions make your heart skip a beat? If so, you might be the person we’re looking for to join Venture For America as our Marketing Manager.


What You’ll Do:

  • Translate marketing strategy into digital and content campaigns that drive awareness, growth, applications, and recruitment, including email campaigns and social media advertising

  • Spread our message to new audiences, using SEO, Google AdWords, social media, press and growth hacking techniques to broaden our reach

  • Work closely with the Chief Brand Officer & CEO on all external communications, including speaking opportunities, events, and general brand awareness

  • Support the Sr. Development & Communications Manager on all press and editorial

  • Become a wizard of marketing data, mining our analytics for insights and working closely with our internal teams to ensure we’re capturing the right information in the right ways

 

What you may have already done:

  • Worked for 4-5 years in marketing and have experience managing a direct report

  • Grown an audience, either via social media or email, and cultivated then converted them into customers or users

  • Captured or produced photo and video content

  • Earned a bachelor's degree

  • You are relentless about flawless communication. You can spot a missing Oxford comma from 20 feet away

  • You are a thinker AND a doer. You can come up with a campaign, manage all the details of execution and measure the results to optimize for the future

  • Bonus points if you have marketing experience in non-profits or startups. Double bonus points if you have both.
