Do you love startups and helping others achieve their potential? Are you passionate about helping current seniors and recent college graduates realize and pursue their dreams?  Are you dedicated to ensuring Venture For America is an onramp to entrepreneurship for historically excluded communities? Are you looking to join a dynamic team where you’ll be constantly learning and growing?

Venture For America is currently seeking a relationship-oriented powerhouse to join our Talent team – which does all the recruitment, selection, and onboarding for the fellowship. Each year, Venture For America generates over 2,500 applications for a class of approximately 200 Fellows.  The Recruitment Manager: Diversity & Inclusion will have three core functions. First, you will lead Talent partnerships, building strong sustainable relationships with like-minded organizations to diversify our Fellow class. Second, you will serve as the face of Venture for America on campuses and at recruiting events across the country, finding talent in-person, specifically at Historically Black Colleges & Universities, Hispanic Serving Institutions, and women’s colleges. Third, you will work to execute Venture For America’s vision for Diversity, Equity, & Inclusion to ensure our application process is inclusive for all identities.

What you’ll do:

  • Expand existing and establish new partnerships with like-minded organizations across the country with the end goal of finding sustainable and significant sources of diverse Fellows

  • Own recruiting events and be the face of Venture For America at a portfolio of colleges and conferences, setting up events, driving attendance and following up with attendees afterwards

  • Engage with stakeholders - professors, student leaders, prospective applicants and prospective partners - to drive interest in Venture For America’s mission

  • Mobilize current Fellows, Venture For America alums and team members to spread the word

  • Act as a main point of contact for assigned applicants and Fellows, mentoring them through the Selection process all the way to finding a job in a Venture For America city

  • Collaborate to improve our existing recruitment & selection processes

  • Participate in Venture For America recruitment and selection events on an ongoing basis, as is expected of all team members

  • Other travel requirements will include occasional visits to other Venture For America cities for job fairs, team retreats, and other events
