The Director of Finance will report directly to the COO and is responsible for all of VFA’s money matters. From the standard (AP, AR, payroll, budgeting) to the exciting (financial modeling, cash flow forecasting, grant reporting, seed fund investing)!
What you’ll do:
Own Quickbooks - While others may do the monthly recs, the buck stops with you
Manage and develop one direct report, our Finance Associate
Ensure that the P&L, balance sheet and cash flow forecast are up to date and accurate
Collaborate with our accountants to file our 990 and produce audited financials
Maintain repeatable processes to streamline monthly accounting
Partner with the Development team to manage the pipeline and produce grant budgets
Guide department heads the the creation of annual budgets for Board approval
What you may have already done:
Earned a bachelor's degree in finance
Earned a graduate degree
Worked in non-profit finance for 7+ years
Worked at an early stage company
