Venture For America is actively recruiting for its Class of 2019 Fellows and we need someone highly motivated to help us spread the word about our amazing Fellowship program.

We’re looking for an energetic, digitally savvy early-career professional to join our small but mighty marketing team.


What You’ll Do:


          • Manage the VFA website, owning updates on the backend, working closely with external web developers and analyzing trends in the data to optimize the user experience
          • Grow our digital presence across our blogs and social media (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Linkedin, and more)
          • Become our search guru, using Google AdWords and SEO best practices to promote our new and existing content
          • Be the master of our marketing assets, maintaining our troves of photos, videos and writing and creating efficient processes for our internal teams to use and access them
          • Connect and collaborate across internal teams to tell VFA stories — of our Fellows and of our cities — then deploy across platforms and channels to reach a wider audience
          • Be a core member of our Training Camp team, focusing on capturing content, executing the programming and bringing our signature program to life across digital & social media

          What you may have already done:

          • Worked for 2-3 years in marketing, press or content creation

          • Grown an audience, either via social media or email, and cultivated then converted them into customers or users

          • Captured or produced photo and video content

          • Earned a bachelor's degree

          • Worked in a non-profit, higher education or startup


          Who you are:

          • You’re fluent across all social media channels, up on the latest trends and know where to post what content to get the biggest impact

          • You have a strong values alignment with VFA and our team -- you truly believe in what VFA is doing and want to share it with the world

          • You’ve never been afraid to get your hands dirty and love to dig into the details to get a job done

          • You are gifted writer and proofreader, you can spot a typo from 50 feet
