Position Summary

Lead, direct, and manage all phases of public works and school construction projects throughout California. Coordinate with field operations, subcontractors, consultants, and clients to ensure projects are delivered safely, on schedule, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

Lead in the development of high-performing project teams through supervision, training, coaching, and mentoring.

Develop and maintain strong client relationships while fostering a trusted advisor approach.

Demonstrate a high standard of accountability, professionalism, and integrity.

Provide leadership that promotes collaboration, inclusion, and continuous improvement.

Develop a comprehensive understanding of project contract documents including plans, specifications, schedules, DSA requirements, and applicable codes.

Coordinate communication between owners, architects, consultants, inspectors, subcontractors, and field teams.

Lead preconstruction activities including budgeting, scheduling, procurement planning, and constructability reviews.

Review construction documents for constructability, DSA coordination, and Quality Assurance/Quality Control (QA/QC).

Prepare bid packages, trade scopes of work, procurement schedules, and subcontractor buyouts.

Manage project budgets, forecasting, cost reporting, billing, and overall financial performance.

Schedule, conduct, and document owner meetings, subcontractor meetings, DSA meetings, and coordination meetings.

Manage RFIs, submittals, change orders, deferred approvals, and subcontract administration processes.

Collaborate with Superintendents to maintain schedule, quality, safety, and DSA compliance objectives.

Ensure compliance with DSA requirements, public works regulations, OSHA safety standards, and company policies.

Lead project closeout activities including punch lists, warranties, as-built documentation, DSA closeout requirements, and final turnover.

Promote a positive team culture focused on accountability, communication, and successful project delivery.

10 years of experience with California public works, K-12 construction, and DSA projects required

Strong understanding of DSA procedures, inspections, submittals, deferred approvals, and closeout documentation

Proficiency with Procore, Bluebeam, Microsoft Project, and Microsoft Office preferred
