ABOUT THE ROLE

The Head Golf Professional will bring the Amara experience to life by serving as the steward for all golf-related activities, ensuring every touchpoint reflects the warmth, professionalism, personalization, and excellence that define Amara.

This role provides strategic and operational leadership for golf operations, including the golf shop, caddie program, tournaments and events, cart operations, practice facilities, member services, and golf staff. This role establishes service standards, develops exceptional teams, and creates memorable experiences that strengthen member engagement and foster a vibrant club culture. Through visible leadership, operational excellence, and a passion for the game, this role ensures that every member interaction on and around the golf course reflects the Amara way.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • 6+ years progressive golf operations experience with at least 3 years as a Head Golf Professional, including experience within private clubs, luxury golf resorts, or destination golf properties.
  • Class A membership in the PGA of America (or ability to obtain/maintain membership as required).
  • Demonstrated success leading golf operations, tournament execution, merchandising programs, instructional initiatives, and member engagement activities.
  • Strong understanding of golf operations technology, tee sheet management, tournament administration, pace of play management, and service delivery best practices.
  • Exceptional relationship-building, communication, and leadership skills, with the ability to engage effectively with members, guests, caddies, golf professionals, and team members at all levels.
  • Demonstrated interest or direct experience working with Lightspeed, Pacesetter, and Pace systems.
  • Ability to work in fast-paced high-touch environments.
  • Ability to maintain professionalism under pressure.
  • Availability to work evenings, weekends, holidays, and varied schedules as needed.
