About the Role
The Equipment Manager will bring the Amara experience to life by providing oversight and execution to the maintenance, repair, and performance of the Club's golf course equipment fleet, preventative maintenance programs, shop operations, parts inventory, and related maintenance facilities. Through technical expertise, organization, and a proactive approach to equipment care, the Equipment Manager helps ensure the Agronomy team has the tools and resources necessary to deliver exceptional course conditions every day.
Qualifications
- 5-7 years of experience maintaining and repairing golf course maintenance equipment, turf equipment, agricultural equipment, or similar specialized machinery is desired.
- Strong working knowledge of mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, fuel, and diagnostic systems commonly utilized in golf course maintenance operations.
- Demonstrated ability to establish and execute preventative maintenance programs while maintaining detailed service records, parts inventories, and maintenance documentation.
- Experience operating welding, fabrication, grinding, and shop equipment used in the repair and maintenance of golf course machinery.
- Strong organizational, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills with the ability to prioritize competing demands in a fast-paced golf course maintenance environment.
- Experience or desire to support golf course construction, grow-in, renovations, property openings, or major equipment fleet transitions.
- Valid driver's license and the ability to safely operate golf course maintenance equipment, utility vehicles, tractors, and related machinery..
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in fast-paced high-touch environments.
- Ability to maintain professionalism under pressure.
- Availability to work evenings, weekends, holidays, and varied schedules as needed.
