Job Summary:

 

MiDOG is seeking a motivated and customer-focused Account Management Associate to help expand adoption of our innovative Next-Generation Sequencing (NGS) diagnostic solutions for veterinary medicine. Reporting to the CEO, this role is responsible for developing long-term customer relationships, supporting new and existing accounts, identifying growth opportunities, and serving as a trusted advisor to veterinary professionals.

 

The ideal candidate combines scientific curiosity with exceptional communication skills and a passion for helping customers improve patient outcomes through advanced diagnostics. This individual will work cross-functionally with Sales, Marketing, Product, and Scientific teams to deliver an outstanding customer experience while contributing to MiDOG's continued growth.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

 

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with veterinary clinics, hospitals, universities, and strategic partners.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned customer accounts throughout the customer lifecycle.
  • Generate qualified sales opportunities through networking, referrals, marketing campaigns, and customer engagement.
  • Educate customers on MiDOG's NGS-based diagnostic solutions and their clinical applications.
  • Develop expertise in MiDOG's diagnostic portfolio and effectively position our solutions against competitive offerings.
  • Conduct virtual and in-person product demonstrations, educational presentations, and training sessions.
  • Collaborate with Marketing and Business Development to identify new markets and growth opportunities.
  • Partner with Product Development and Scientific teams by providing customer insights and market feedback.
  • Interface with the Customer Support team to understand customer inquiries, technical challenges, and common support trends, ensuring a seamless customer experience and identifying opportunities for account growth.
  • Maintain accurate customer records, activities, and pipeline information within CRM systems (HubSpot, NetSuite).
  • Monitor customer satisfaction, proactively address concerns, and identify opportunities for account expansion.
  • Analyze customer trends and prepare account reports to support business planning.
  • Stay informed on developments in veterinary diagnostics, infectious disease testing, and industry trends.
  • Represent MiDOG at industry conferences, trade shows, and customer events as needed.

Qualifications:

 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Biology, Microbiology, Veterinary Science, Animal Science, Life Sciences, or related field.
  • 2–4+ years of experience in Account Management, Customer Success, Technical Sales, or Business Development.
  • Experience in veterinary diagnostics, biotechnology, life sciences, pharmaceuticals, or healthcare preferred.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to communicate complex scientific concepts to diverse audiences.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Self-motivated, proactive, and results-oriented.
  • Experience with CRM systems (NetSuite, Salesforce, Monday.com, HubSpot, or similar) preferred.
  • Willingness to travel up to 20–30% as needed.

Compensation, Benefits, and Perks:                                 

The estimated base compensation range for this position is $70,000-$75,000 at the time of posting. Actual compensation details will be provided in writing at the time of offer, if applicable, and is based on several factors we believe fairly and accurately impact compensation, including geographic location, experience, knowledge, skills, abilities, and other job permitted factors.
