Annual Salary Range: $95,000 -$120,000

THE OPPORTUNITY


The Licensed Clinical Psychologist uses their clinical expertise and excellent practices to provide individual and group counseling as well as serving as team leader in our signature Clinical Integration Program- purposefully interweaving clinical skill building into all aspects of our students’s and day.  Quad Prep’s Clinical Integration program is a foundational practice, and its implementation and effectiveness is maturely developed and refined.  The psychologist collaborates with their academic and clinical peers to create curriculum, influence pedagogy, and grow professionally together and works closely with the Divisional Directors to make the Quad Prepl experience a rich and rewarding one for each student and staff member.


The psychologist is a respected leader and actively supervises and mentors 

post-doctoral fellows, mental health counselors, and/or other team members in related professions.  The clinical team at Quad Prep thrives on collaboration, professional growth and impact.

What You Will Do:  


Nurture students' growth and development through clinical expertise 

  • Provide exemplary evidence-based individual and group counseling

  • Drive clinical  integration by providing services inside theooms


Train, educate and inspire future psychologists

  • Conduct weekly supervision or consultation with trainees and counselors

  • Create dynamic and engaging workshops  in cutting edge, evidence-based practices

  • Participate in Professional Development workshops for all staff , parents and the larger 2e community

  • Join other faculty in our advanced, year long-long Certificate Program in Meeting the Needs of Twice-Exceptional Children (tuition waived for Quad Prep employees!)


Be a leader

  • Lead clinical integration teams and drive integration efforts across the school

  • Ensure  “for real” partnerships with parents and outside providers through our regularly scheduled monthly calls that bring all of our students’ champions together, collaborating to set and monitor clinical goals.   

  • Preside over weekly Psychosocial Team meetings with all faculty and staff.

  • Take advantage of opportunities to participate in measuring outcomes that will contribute to the 2e knowledge base

  • Speak at national and international conferences in expert 2e practice

Compensation is dependent upon experience and degree obtained.

Required Education and Experience:

  • Possess and maintain New York State License to practice clinical psychology (or currently be working toward NYS licensure and possess at the beginning of employment in August 2022)

  • Doctoral level psychology degree, PsyD or PhD

  • Experience with elementary and/or adolescent population

  • Experience with students who have social-cognitive challenges and learning differences

  • Experience in evidence-based treatment, particularly CBT and DBT

  • Demonstration of consistent self-growth and challenge through professional development

  • Interpersonal style that builds consensus and compels constructive problem solving

  • Commitment to furthering the field of psychology through training others


Preferred Education and Experience: 

  • Experience working with twice-exceptional children and adolescents



Work Environment: 

This job operates in a school setting. The school is located on the fourth,  fifth and sixth floors of a building with one elevator. This role requires working in various locations around the school and the potential for accompanying students to a local park or outings in the community.


Physical Demands: 

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and listen. This position is very active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, and stooping all day. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move items under 20 pounds. During fire drills, the employee, unless physically unable, will need to use the stairs to go to ground level from the fourth floor. Typing is required for composing emails and writing reports. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.


Position Type and Expected Hours of Work: 

This is a full-time position in an educational facility which is open eight hours a day. Clinicians work 10 months out of the year according to the August-June academic calendar and with vacation time in the summer after a full year of employment. Occasional evening or weekend hours may be required. In general, though, hours are Monday-Friday 8AM- 4PM.
