Merge is a virtual and augmented reality (VR/AR) company focused on pushing the boundaries of imagination and technology, merging the physical and digital worlds, and creating immersive learning experiences for kids grades K-12.


Your Mission:

As Senior Software Engineer, you will report directly to the Chief Creative Officer (CCO). You’ll be an integral part of our software development team, conceptualizing, prototyping, and producing apps for mobile platforms that will change the people interact with the world.


Requirements:

  • Extensive knowledge of Unity and C#

  • Extensive knowledge of object oriented design, 3D Math and data structures

  • Extensive knowledge of software architecture

  • Strong knowledge of client - server communication

  • Strong knowledge of Database

  • Minimum of 4 years of professional software development experience

  • Knack for writing clean, readable, and easily maintainable code

  • Mobile Development Experience on iOS / Android

  • Active awareness of current trends in mobile and digital experiences

  • Passion for Virtual & Augmented Reality


Typical Duties Include:

  • Designing, implementing, and delivering mobile-based applications

  • Designing, implementing, and delivering custom development tools

  • Designing, implementing, and delivering app backend and serve communications

  • Researching and implementing new technology

  • Collaborating with team to develop new features

  • Supervise development team


Accountabilities/KPIs:

  • Get up to speed with current development workflow in 3 weeks

  • Able to give accurate task estimates after 1 month

  • Learn 3 new programing techniques and share with the team every month

  • Read 3 technical articles and share with the team every month

  • Attend quarterly 1-on-1 meetings with manager and show continuous improvement in KPIs & Key Competencies
