Extra hours substituting for teachers who are on leave are available.

 

 Key Responsibilities:

Program Implementation:

    • Design and develop a diverse range of after-school activities that cater to the interests and developmental needs of children.
    • Implement and facilitate daily activities including arts and crafts, physical education, and other enrichment programs.
    • Integrate Montessori principles and values into the after-school curriculum.

 

Student Supervision and Engagement:

    • Supervise students during after-school hours to ensure their safety and well-being.
    • Foster a positive and inclusive environment that encourages student participation and engagement.
    • Address any behavioral issues promptly and in accordance with school policies.

 

Communication and Collaboration:

    • Communicate regularly with parents and guardians regarding any pertinent information about the after-school program.
    • Collaborate with other staff members to coordinate activities and share resources.
    • Attend staff meetings and professional development sessions as required.

 

Classroom Management and Organization:

    • Maintain a clean, organized, and inviting classroom environment.
    • Ensure that all materials and equipment are used responsibly and returned to their proper places.
    • Monitor and manage attendance records and ensure accurate documentation.

 

Safety and Closing Responsibilities:

    • Ensure the safety and security of all students during after-school hours.
    • Follow established protocols for closing the school, including securing all doors and windows, turning off lights, and setting the alarm system.
    • Report any maintenance or safety issues to the appropriate personnel.

 

Additional Duties:

    • Participate in staff meetings and adhere to all MGRI policies and procedures.
    • Assist with school-wide events and activities as needed.
    • Perform other duties as assigned by the school administration.
