Job Description
ASLPM is seeking a dynamic Project Manager with aviation terminal experience to support several concessions and tenant improvement projects at the Seattle Tacoma Region. The Project Manager will provide direction and management for several small to medium-sized projects to ensure on-schedule completion within or below budget in accordance with contractual specifications.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Develop and manage scope to meet project goals and objectives
- Plan and define program goals and devise methods to accomplish them
- Act as the agency’s representative with contractor and stakeholders during the program execution
- Negotiate changes to the scope of work with the contractors
- Participate in negotiations with regulatory agencies and in public meetings in support of the airport, as necessary
- Oversee establishment of the Project Management Plan
- Establish the program requirements for all areas of the project, and monitor the draft and final deliverables for adherence to these criteria
- Plan, direct, supervise and control the execution of all technical and fiscal and administrative functions of the assigned project
- Field responsibilities may include labor relations, procurement and payment to contractors and consultants
- Work with other team members to follow budget, schedules, and plan for all project elements
- Monitor and report to management on the progress of all project activity within the program, including significant milestones, and any conditions, which would affect project cost or schedule
- Establish regular meetings to review project status and formulate action items
Qualifications
- Minimum of three to five years of aviation project experience, including terminal projects valued over $10 million
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture, or related field
- Professional Registration or Certification is preferred
- Strong leadership, problem solving and project finance skills
- Excellent written and oral communication skills and a thorough knowledge of industry practices and regulations required
- Demonstrated ability to understand technical and complicated construction program and the ability to communicate progress to both technical- and management-level personnel
