Key Identifiers for the Position

·        Minimum 15 years of related work experience is required.

·        Preferred experience to include self-performing general contractor.

·        Design assist or Design-Build deliver methods experience desired.

·        Previous experience of delivery of programs within complex operating environments required

·        Aviation experience desired, but not required. Candidate will be selected based on their work experience in complex operating environments.

·        Four-year degree in Architecture, Engineering, or related technical/business field.

·        Previous project management experience for project sizes within the $400M - $1.5B range required.

 

Essential Job Duties

·        Lead Manager of Construction Management team. Includes all owner personnel and awarded designer and general contractor.

·        Results driven. Able to identify program constraints that impede cost, schedule and other key metrics and implement solutions that allow metrics/milestones to be accomplished.

·        Primary liaison between airport executives and program team to identify, solve and escalate risks requiring resolutions.

·        Is cost and schedule performance conscientious and driven. Understands the consequence of not completing on time and within budget.

·        Responsible for all aspects of design and construction projects, including, but not limited to cost, schedule, scope, safety, quality, operational impacts, processes, personnel, etc.

·        Familiar with the integration of engineering/technical aspects, as well as procurement and construction activities.

·        Oversee and manage the airports SME’s review of project documents to ensure compliance with airport standards.

·        Establish the program requirements for all areas of the project and monitors the draft and final deliverables for adherence to these criteria. This shall include items such as RFP’s, contracts, scope development & execution, budgets, schedules, owner objectives, corporate policies, to name a few.

·        Is process improvement driven to achieve the LEANEST construction delivery methodologies.

·        Shall possess attributes of a “Outside the Box” thinker.

·        Review current design and construction management policies.

·        Plan, direct, supervise, and control the execution of all technical, fiscal, and administrative functions

·        of the assigned project.

·        Provide input to performance reviews and development plans for subordinates.

·        Field responsibilities may include participating in labor relations, procurement and pay application etc.

·        Ensure that the project meets or exceeds goals established.

·        Work with the key project individual to devise and execute action plans to rectify potential cost overruns or delays, or to accommodate significant changes to the scope of work.

·        Assure that current and timely change orders are documented and administered appropriately.

·        May participate in negotiations with regulatory agencies and in public meetings.

·        Contribute to the advancement of The Development Group’s goals through commitment to productive collaboration with all stakeholders.

·        Perform other responsibilities associated with this position, as appropriate.

 

Professional Experience Level/Other Qualifications

·        Minimum 15 years of related work experience is required, including demonstrated experience as either a contractor, designer, owner, or owner representative.

·        Previous project management experience on large complex projects.

·        Has a minimum of 10-hour OSHA training.

·        Proven ability to perform in a leadership capacity.

·        Excellent written and oral communication skills.

·        Thorough knowledge of industry practices and regulations.

·        Knowledgeable of current technology and how it can be effectively utilized and leveraged.

 

Education/Training

·        Four-year degree in Architecture, Engineering, or related technical/business field.

 

Element-Specific Requirements/Notes

·        May assume other duties as required/needed.

·        Maybe required to work past regular work shift.
