Seeking a Sign Production Specialist with graphic design experience to produce, review and install signs and sign plans that will effectively guide pedestrian traffic through a public setting during construction.
Essential Job Duties
Work closely with the Sign Production Manager and Project Managers to solve complex wayfinding problems.
Coordinate the sign design and production schedule with the Sign Production manager.
Communicate and coordinate with Construction Managers and Airport Supervisors
Perform regular site walks to monitor efficiency and condition of wayfinding system.
Make field adjustments, repairs, replacements and maintenance to signage immediately when performing regular site walks.
Gather information, photographs, measurements, etc., for graphic design and other purposes.
Assist with sign plan design, production, inventory, cleaning and all other areas of the Planning and Development Group Sign Shop as needed.
Hardware / Software Knowledge
Microsoft systems including MS-Excel, MS-Word, Power Point, Outlook and Publisher
Superior working knowledge of Adobe Illustrator
Professional Experience Level/Other Qualifications
Sign or printing production experience is highly desired
Experience reading construction/maintenance project plans and schedules is a plus
Experience in large format printing and sign production
Excellent written and oral communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
Problem-solver with a strong sense of priority
Reliable, self-motivated and open-minded
Geared to share information and communicate with team members
The ability to lift and carry 30 lbs.
Work outdoors in all weather conditions
Able to lift and move heavy objects for short distances
Able to work from a ladder
Able to drive and maneuver work vehicle safely
Work near vehicular traffic, commercial aircraft, and aircraft support equipment
Able to walk distances greater than one mile
Interact with airport personnel and the general public with a positive, helpful attitude
Ability to work flexible split or night shift for installations needed during non-peek passenger times
3-5 years related experience
May assume other duties as required/needed
May be required to work beyond regular shift hours as needed
May be required to work various shifts as needed
