Victory Lane Aviation – Controller
Victory Lane Aviation is a growing aviation services company. The company specializes in maintenance, avionics, flight services, and flight school training. Victory Lane Aviation was recently backed by an established Private Equity firm and is seeking a controller to support its corporate accounting and reporting functions.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee day-to-day corporate accounting activities for the accurate and timely dissemination of financial management reports including, but not limited to, internal monthly Income Statement and Balance Sheet and annual audits and budgets.
- Prepare monthly and annual financial statements and participate in monthly financial review sessions.
- Manage accounts payable with accurate and timely processing of invoices, purchase orders, employee expense reports, and cash controls.
- Manage accounts receivable function to ensure the accurate and timely management of all aging components including billings and cash receipts application.
- Manage the fixed asset and inventory accounting processes.
- Lead outside audit compliance and assist with assurance of corporate income tax compliance for accurate and timely completion of all corporate income tax returns.
- Work with the CEO and Directors of Maintenance to develop reporting and Key Performance Indicators to meet the needs of board members, operations, and other internal users.
- Ensure that financial records are maintained in compliance with internal corporate policies, U.S. GAAP and federal, state, and local legal requirements.
- Manage 1099 processing, payroll, and tax compliance processes.
- Manage the cap table and options tracking.

Preferred Qualifications
- 2 - 5 years of financial and managerial accounting experience.
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in the accounting industry including tax preparation, bookkeeping, preparation of financial statements, and payroll.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting.
- CPA or CMA licensed in North Carolina.
- Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks Online, Microsoft Excel, and other Microsoft Office products.
- Experience in deploying cloud-based accounting applications.

- While being on-site for training will be needed in the first few months of employment, we offer the flexibility to work from home multiple days a week.
Compensation
- This is a salaried full-time position with benefits and is eligible for participation in our bonus program. There is an opportunity to participate in the company’s option plan after one year of service.
