Ravenswood Solutions (RS), a wholly owned for-profit subsidiary of SRI International, is seeking a Shipping and Receiving Clerk to join the Corporate Property Team. As part of the Property Team within the Business Operations Organization, the Shipping and Receiving Clerk is based at our Operations Center in Boise, ID and reports to the Property Manager.

Specific responsibilities (include but are not limited to the following):

•    Receive inbound shipments and complete all required receiving paperwork
•    Verify shipments to complete, compare against digital purchase order (PO) records, and inspect for damage
•    Ship outbound packages, including freight,custom and international shipments
•    Verify all appropriate HAZMAT and safety labeling is followed for all outgoing shipments
•    Work with our Property Administrator and Property Specialist to tag and document new assets that arrive in the warehouse
•    Learn and understand the various contractual requirements, and how its effects on how equipment will need to be tagged and documented
•    Verify that all appropriate government property movement paperwork is complete before government assets are shipped from the warehouse (DD1149)
•    Manage any shipping damage claims that must be submitted
•    Interface with buyers to confirm or deny receipt of shipments in the event of an issue
•    Maintain organized files of physical packing slips for record keeping
•    Maintain up to date certifications on HAZMAT shipping
•    Assist in day to day warehouse operations to include materials handling, operating industrial equipment (fork lift), counting, inventory and maintaining a clean work area
•    Maintain inventory of shipping and receiving packing materials and supplies

Education and Professional Experience Requirements:

•    High school diploma (or equivalent) required
•     Minimum one year of shipping & receiving experience
•     Successful completion of at least one Level 1 HAZMAT shipping certification, and willingness to complete more certifications
•    Experience with international shipments preferred
•    Must be comfortable communicating through email and operating FedEx ship manager software
•    Strong organization skills for file records and attention to detail required
•    Experience with Government entities and military/ARMY protocol is desired
•    Global Transport Training Services DOT 49 CFR training preferred
•    Global Transportation Services IATA (Dangerous Goods by Air) training preferred

•    Ability to interact effectively with people of varying technical abilities (engineers, technicians, and military personnel)
•    Able to perform well and adapt in high-stress, fast-paced environments
•    Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office applications

•    Employment is contingent on successful completion of a background check
•    A drug screen will be required as part of the hiring process
•    Due to government requirements for this role and the nature of the work, candidates must be U.S. Citizens with the ability to obtain and maintain a government security clearance.
