Primary Responsibilities:

  • Process transactional accounting activities, including journal entries, for all US entities
  • Complete monthly close on a timely basis
  • Reconcile all assigned balance sheet accounts monthly
  • Review monthly US financial statements for reasonableness
  • Ensure compliance with IFRS requirements
  • Coordinate activities with external auditors, providing the appropriate information as needed
  • Perform ad hoc assignments and financial analysis as needed
  • Collaborate with other departments to resolve accounting related issues as needed
  • Maintain effective working relationships across the Company and at functional and corporate levels
  • Proactively identify issues and areas for improvement within the monthly close process and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and reduce redundancy

 

 

Qualifications

Experience/Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting is required
  • CPA (or some parts completed) is preferred
  • Minimum of 2-3 years of combined accounting and financial planning and analysis experience is preferred

 

Skills/Knowledge/Cultural Fit:

  • Current knowledge of US GAAP is required
  • IFRS and SEC reporting experience is preferred
  • Experience with revenue recognition rules as it relates to revenue from contracts is preferred
  • Understanding and familiarity with IFRS 16 Lease accounting is preferred
  • Experience with NetSuite is preferred
  • A combination of strong analytical and accounting skills is required
  • Excellent verbal, written, interpersonal communication and presentation skills
  • Self-starter with the ability to work under time pressure and prioritize workload
  • Proven ability to succeed in a fast paced and agile environment
  • Advanced MS Excel skills are required
