Primary Responsibilities:
- Process transactional accounting activities, including journal entries, for all US entities
- Complete monthly close on a timely basis
- Reconcile all assigned balance sheet accounts monthly
- Review monthly US financial statements for reasonableness
- Ensure compliance with IFRS requirements
- Coordinate activities with external auditors, providing the appropriate information as needed
- Perform ad hoc assignments and financial analysis as needed
- Collaborate with other departments to resolve accounting related issues as needed
- Maintain effective working relationships across the Company and at functional and corporate levels
- Proactively identify issues and areas for improvement within the monthly close process and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and reduce redundancy
Qualifications
Experience/Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting is required
- CPA (or some parts completed) is preferred
- Minimum of 2-3 years of combined accounting and financial planning and analysis experience is preferred
Skills/Knowledge/Cultural Fit:
- Current knowledge of US GAAP is required
- IFRS and SEC reporting experience is preferred
- Experience with revenue recognition rules as it relates to revenue from contracts is preferred
- Understanding and familiarity with IFRS 16 Lease accounting is preferred
- Experience with NetSuite is preferred
- A combination of strong analytical and accounting skills is required
- Excellent verbal, written, interpersonal communication and presentation skills
- Self-starter with the ability to work under time pressure and prioritize workload
- Proven ability to succeed in a fast paced and agile environment
- Advanced MS Excel skills are required
